If the aesthetics of metal braces have discouraged you from seeking orthodontic treatment in the past, ClearCorrect may be the solution for you. Designed for adults and image-conscious teens, ClearCorrect are invisible clear aligners that fit on the outside of your teeth. They’ve been created so that the people around you will hardly notice them. Let’s take a look at how they work.
Clear Braces For Adults And Teens
ClearCorrect aligners are a revolutionary step in orthodontics, taking a highly customised approach to tooth correction. Your bespoke aligners apply gentle pressure from the outside of your teeth, gradually moving them to create a beautiful smile.
Who Is A Candidate For ClearCorrect?
Invisible braces or clear aligners can be used to treat a number of orthodontic problems including teeth that are spaced too far apart, or teeth that have overcrowded the mouth. They can also be used to treat bite misalignments: underbite, crossbite and overbite.
If your teeth are severely crooked or your jaws severely misaligned, I may recommend a different course of treatment that we can discuss.
What Can You Expect From Treatment?
During your first consultation I will give you a thorough evaluation, taking photographs and x-rays of your smile to record the size and shape of each of your teeth, and a digital scan. These digital impressions will be sent to the ClearCorrect lab, and your treatment plan and 3D simulation will be created.
Once we have the plan of attack, I will discuss this with you, including milestones as this is a journey and we need to work together as a team to achieve the best result.
A series of customised 3D printed aligners will be made at ClearCorrect’s dental laboratory in Texas, USA, to fit the exact contours of your teeth. Each new aligner will mark a new position for your teeth to move into.
You will need to wear your clear braces for at least 22 hours a day, every day. Once we are satisfied with your progress and your teeth have shifted correctly, you will be able to wear the next set. This usually happens on average every two to three weeks.
What Are The Benefits Of Clear Braces?
Smile with confidence
Before wearing braces, many of my patients often avoided smiling because of crooked teeth or misaligned jaws. With ClearCorrect, you can smile with confidence, knowing that your treatment is discreet.
ClearCorrect is removable
Unlike traditional metal braces, you can remove ClearCorrect when you eat and drink. This makes them much easier to keep clean and also makes you feel less self-conscious about the possibility of having food trapped between your braces.
Improve your oral hygiene
Not only are straight teeth more visually attractive, they are also easier to keep clean. Crooked or misaligned teeth can trap food in areas that are hard to reach with a toothbrush, potentially leading to decay.
ClearCorrect aligners have a proven track record
ClearCorrect has been available on the market since 2006, and has a successful track record behind it.
ClearCorrect is available on a payment plan
At Tooth Crusader we understand how important orthodontic treatment is, and extend payment plans to our patients to make treatment more affordable. Currently two plans are available for patients with mild and advanced cases and require you to make a once-off payment followed by 12 affordable monthly instalments.
We also offer our in-house 3D printed clear aligners on monthly payment plans.
Will My Health Insurance Cover The Cost Of ClearCorrect Aligners?
Most insurance providers will offer a rebate for clear braces. The amount of cover varies between policies, so you would need to clarify this with your health insurance company. We can give you the treatment codes as part of the treatment plan.
Will I Need To Wear A Retainer?
Yes, once you have finished your clear aligner treatment we will give you a retainer, which is typically made from a thicker material, to wear every night to ensure your teeth sliding back into their old positions. This is very important.
