The playful and wonderful Dr Kelly Tse has built an amazing reputation in her community as a much loved dental surgeon at her practice Tooth Crusader in Wolli Creek. Dr Kelly as she is known by many of her patients has made it her mission to ‘fight for your teeth’. With a wealth of dental knowledge and a knack of treating patients in the way that she herself would like to be treated. Kelly has mastered the art of compassionate and gentle dentistry and oral surgery.
Kelly now has a loving husband, and baby boy, but Dr Kelly Tse spent her first years in Hong Kong, before moved to Australia with her mother in the late 1980s. Excelling in her education, she went on to study chemical engineering at the University of New South Wales, where she achieved honours, then moved into bio-medical engineering where she completed her masters degree. At this time she found her love in life, the study of anatomy. Working along side Prof Dzung Vu, she honed her craft and has become a first class anatomist in her known respect. Having published a number of papers and recieved numours university awards for her efforts including the 2005 Teaching Award at UNSW, and Research Paper Award in 2011. As an educator and lecturer at Univeristy New South Wales, Kelly was highlighed in an article by Angela Brkic of the The Sydney Morning Hearld about her work in the Indigenous Australian pre-program for medicine.
Kelly’s education was not finished there, she then went on to study dentistry at the University of Sydney, (where she meet Dr Ho-Yeon Choi), bringing Kelly’s reseach into critically aclaimed at home and internationally. Dr Kelly Tse, the educator and teacher, not only holds an Associate Lecturer position at University Notre Dame, Sydney, but also instructs on a range of gross anatomy areas, including radiology, opthmology, dentistry, and surgical anatomy for private workshops, and key industry suppliers where specialist dissection work is required.
As a key opinon leader for NSK (Nakanishi Inc of Japan) Kelly is at the forefront of technology, best practice and techniques, so much so that she has had been featured in a number of educational videos for Medibank Private on oral health care. There is also a fun side to Kelly, and this comes through in her passion and desire to help her patients. Dr Kelly’s passion for food, friendship, laughter and willingness to try almost anything (just not rollercoasters) is infectous.
