In 2014 Dr Kelly Tse founded Tooth Crusader in Wolli Creek to service her local community, a community that she has lived in since 1988, after leaving Hong Kong with her mother. Dr Kelly Tse’s career started with a degree in chemical engineering with honours, followed by a masters of biomedical engineering from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) where she fell in love with the study of human anatomy. After receiving multiple awards and international praise and publications, Dr Kelly Tse went on to study dentistry at the University of Sydney.
Now as a proud mother and principle dentist, Dr Kelly Tse has made it her mission to ‘fight for your teeth’. Dr Kelly Tse’s dedication to maintaining your dental and oral health comes with a wealth of dental knowledge and a knack of treating patients in the way that she herself would like to be treated, she is compassionate and gentle. Using her quick wit & charm, and everyday language Dr Tse makes patients feel relaxed, and comfortable.
On top of looking after her patients Dr Kelly Tse is an associate lecturer at University Notre Dame’s school of medicine and also teaches intensive anatomy studies to our next generation of radiologists, surgeons, specialists and surgical dentists. Due to her surgical skills, trust with patients and her peers, Dr Kelly Tse is also proud to be a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) for NSK Nakanishi of Japan. Dr Kelly Tse speaks Cantonese, Chinese Mandarin and is currently learning Japanese.
DR STEPHANIE CHOW
Having studied with Dr Kelly Tse at the University of Sydney, Dr Stephanie Chow is a very skilled general dentist. Following Dr Stephanie Chow’s graduation from dental school she worked in remote NSW and the Queensland border regions for a number of years serving some of our most isolated townships and first nation’s people. Dr Chow moved back to Sydney to take up a position at Westmead Hospital’s dental department. She has a passion working with those most in need of healthcare, and brings her science background, training and experience to deliver the highest quality outcomes for all of her patients.
DR QIKUN BAO
Having moved from Toronto, Canada and graduating from University of Sydney’s medical school, he went on to complete his internship at the Royal North Shore Hospital. Dr Bao is our in-house medical doctor for Tooth Crusader, and medical adviser for Anatomy Academy. During the COVID crisis in 2020 and again in 2021, Dr Bao answered the call and has been assisting with COVID treatments, requirements, and locum in our overworked hospital emergency departments. For those patients that require IV sedation or sleep dentistry, Dr Bao will be there with you along with his use of minimally invasive techniques, to ensure you are comfortable. Dr Bao is a believer of good physical health and you may even run into him at the local crossfit gym training for his next challenge.
Jason is a highly driven executive manager with a technical engineering background. Following a distinguished career in mechanical engineering and having studied at the Australian Graduate School of Business (AGSM), Jason has been able to assist Dr Kelly Tse and her team in building Tooth Crusader into a world leading oral surgery centre. With an aim to grow Australian businesses, Jason is also involved in many start-ups in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in the medical, dental, veterinarian, the visual arts and industrial landscapes. With the greater use of advanced technology in imaging, diagnostics, and manufacture, Jason’s experience in engineering, supply & logistics has allowed Tooth Crusader to also work closely our suppliers such as NSK, 3M, Philips, Medicom, and others to ensure we have the most current information, and to meet our best practice requirements, plus quality assurance and environmental standards.
